3/4" Birch Plywood.
I think I will whitewash it next:
White Washing Birch |
Q: I just had a wall unit installed made of birch plywood and would like to white wash it so the grain will show. Do I use oil based or water based, and how?A: You can use either. Several companies make a white stain. Alternatively, you can make your own by buying white latex paint and reducing it 100% with water. Flood the stain or paint on, and wipe it off immediately, leaving as much or as little as you want to get the look you desire. Let the stain dry, then top coat with a waterbased polyurethane. |
